3 Reasons To Start The New Year with Focused Resolutions

The end of the year is a great time to reflect on our lives and create resolutions for ourselves for the upcoming year. “New Year, New You” is more than just an empty resolution; it’s an opportunity to focus on your health and self-care in meaningful ways.

Here are three reasons why this idea can work

  1. It’s a resolution that encourages us to focus on ourselves and make changes that will benefit our health and happiness. By resolving to prioritize self-care, it becomes easier to stick with healthy habits such as exercising more often or eating better because the resolution has a lasting impact beyond the traditional “goes in one ear out the other” solution.
  2. It allows us to focus on the positive and use our goals to motivate ourselves to improve. Instead of just making resolutions such as “I will lose 10 pounds”, it can be more beneficial to focus on healthier lifestyle changes that will help you reach your goals over time, such as incorporating exercise into your daily routine or eating more healthily.
  3. It helps us recognize that the start of a new year is an opportunity to make lasting changes in our lives, which can positively affect our mental and physical health. Taking small steps towards healthier habits can lead to more significant personal successes over time, so don’t be intimidated by taking on too much all at once.

Personal Resolution

I always practice what I preach. I wanted to talk about resolutions when I accomplished my answer or have created a routine for it. Health and wealth became my focus for 2023 because I am still getting younger.

I noticed that when I quit smoking in September 2022, I gained a significant amount of weight. It started to weigh me down, and being tired was foreign to me. I shift focus to eating right and working out more.

Smoke-Free and Weening off Social Media Posting

The other thing that I wanted to laser focus on was my writing. I have a lot of time on my hand between work and home balance, so I told myself that the excuse of writing only once every three months is not cutting it anymore. So here I am, sharing my thoughts more and daily. I would like to write at least 50,000 words a month.

Happy New Year!

Overall, “New Year, New You” is an excellent resolution to focus on during the start of the new year. Making simple changes can make all the difference in improving our physical and mental health and becoming the best version of ourselves. So feel free to take on this resolution and focus on bettering yourself daily.
